Tenacious Tapes G675 Premium Bi-directional Filament Tape. Adhesive tape comparable to 3M Scotch Bi-Directional Filament Tape 8959, TESA 04579 Cross Filament Tape or Stylus 802.
Filament tapes have strands or bundles of filaments, normally made from PET or glass, the spacing and quantity determining the tensile strength. They are used for strapping, binding and bundling applications and providing structural strength in the packaging industry.
Filament Tapes cannot be hand-torn and the cross-weave versions just give tear resistance in both longitudinal and transverse directions. They can have applications for masking in the concrete pattern and textured coating industries, particularly the paper backed variants. These products are not re-cyclable, contact for further advice if this is a requirement.
G675 is a Polypropylene Film laminated to Cross Mesh of Fibreglass Strands for Reinforcement coated with a Hot Melt/Synthetic Rubber Adhesive system.
Surface Preparation: The surface on which the tape is to be used must be clean, dry and free from grease and dust. Remember that pressure sensitive adhesive must be applied with the maximum possible pressure in order to achieve maximum adhesion levels. The recommended application temperature is between 15°C and 25°C.
Storage: Tapes stored below the minimum application temperature will require warming up to that level before use. Up to 24 hours may be required for this to take place.
