SmallRig Multi-Adjustable Chest Pad Mount Plate with Rod Clamp MD3183B is designed to reduce the load while long-term handheld shooting, hence making the shooting process more comfortable and stable. Attach the camera via SmallRig 15mm Carbon Fiber Rods and Bottom Mount Plate with Dual 15mm Rod Clamp (e.g.,851 and 1674) for load-reducing shooting. The chest pad can be quickly switched between horizontal and vertical modes with one click, providing more comfortable support. The rotation can be adjusted by 115deg. The damping can be adjusted with the provided Allen wrench, making it suitable for multi-angle shooting. The soft cushion with removable velcro for easy replacement provides a more comfortable long-shooting experience.

These 300mm (11.8”) long Rods are one of the basic building blocks of all SYMPLA rigs, and are always used in parallel pairs to create a track which allows components to be mounted and positioned correctly.
Rods can be united to make longer tracks (using the included screw junctions), joined at different heights using the V-Offset component, or shifted laterally using the H-Offset component. Although the possible uses are numerous, these long Rods primarily serve as the track for SYMPLA Fixed or Variable Plates, since the extra length allows a wide range of camera and lens (and viewfinder) combinations to be correctly positioned for the operator and for other SYMPLA components, such as the Flexible Mattebox.
Made in 15mm (0.59”) diameter tubular aluminum for strength and reduced weight, 300mm Rods are the longer of SYMPLA’s two sizes. Supplied as a pair, with two 1/2”-13UNC screw junctions included.
