SmallRig Basic Cage Kit for Canon EOS C400 4947 is designed to provide filmmakers with a comprehensive set of features and versatile shooting solutions. This kit comprises a top plate, dual side plates, a baseplate, an extension module for the original handle, a cheese backplate, a sun shade, and a handle locking knob.

The modular design of the kit (top plate, side plates, and baseplate) allows for seamless adaptation to various shooting scenarios. The cage kit features multiple built-in mounting interfaces such as 1/4″-20 threaded holes, ARRI locating holes, 1/4″-20 locating holes, 3/8″-16 threaded holes, dual rod clamps, QD interfaces, NATO rails, cold shoe mounts, ARRI rosettes, and more. Combined with the tripod (ID 4463), it facilitates swift landscape-to-portrait orientation switching. The kit can also attach the QD shoulder strap (ID 4118), enabling convenient portability.

Attaching the 15mm dual rods (ID 1053) facilitates the use of the wireless follow focus (ID 3918), while the cheese backplate allows for mounting V mount batteries (ID 4292).

The extension module for the original handle not only enhances palm support but also provides additional mounting options on the top handle to extend with accessories like magic arms (ID 3875, 3874), 15mm rod clamps (ID 4171), monitors, audio receivers, and more.

The cheese backplate features multiple mounting options such as 1/4”-20 locating holes, 1/4”-20 threaded holes, ARRI locating holes, compatible with magic arms (ID 3875, 3874) and V-mount plates (ID 2987) to attach monitors, V mount batteries, and more.

The kit includes an LCD sun shade to block out excess light, ensuring a clear screen view in bright conditions.

Additionally, it features a thumbscrew knob that can replace the original locking screw on the handle enabling the tool-free handle mounting.
